Your session should be about you. It’s not about the latest trend in family portraiture, or your photographer’s favorite location, or what crazy things your photographer can talk your wedding party into, it’s about you. You, you, you. I get this; I live by it. I recognize that these images are for you and therefore should be about you. I strive to create images that represent who you are, how you live and most importantly, how you love. To accomplish this you need to be comfortable with your photographer. If you are planning a wedding, we will surely get to know each other during the process. But if you’re planning a portrait session, you may have less time with me. So, in the interest of getting to know each other, here are a few things about me....

I still cry at every wedding I shoot, and I think it’s terribly unprofessional.

I wear the jewelry I wore on my own wedding day to every wedding I shoot.

I work with area hospitals, providing portrait sessions to families in the crisis of losing an infant. I find this work to be rewarding and challenging. As difficult as it can be, I know the images are treasured by the families I serve and that’s what matters. I am meant to do this.

I believe everyone should wait tables as a teenager.

I worked at Disney World in college. (An incredible experience, ask me about it when you have time to spare.)
